MICHELLE'S STORY
Michelle has been with DONUT Studios since the very beginning, and says she is now producing artwork of a higher quality than when she started, and often receives commissions and sells her work through exhibitions.
As an established artist, Michelle says that the Creative Facilitators help her to grow her online presence on social media platforms, as well as edit videos for her YouTube channel.
As an artist Michelle favours realism, her subject matters are usually flora and fauna, and she currently prefers using an airbrush and drawing with coloured pencil to create her masterpieces.
When asked if being at DONUT Studios has helped her feel more confident about her art, Michelle says:
“Yes. The compliments and positive feedback I receive have given me much greater confidence as an artist. I enjoy engaging with and meeting many people from the community when they visit the studio.”
Michelle has sold a number of artwork while at DONUT Studios, and won 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Best Exhibit at the 2023 Bendigo Show. This was a huge achievement for Michelle as it was the most awards she has won for a single event.
For Michelle, the best thing about attending DONUT Studios is the support and help she receives to exhibit and promote herself as a professional artist. She’s looking forward to seeing how the DONUT Shop grows and what opportunities arise from that.
