Wayne joined DONUT Studios when we first opened.

He says his artwork has improved as time has gone by, and the staff at the studio have helped develop his skills by showing him new techniques and making suggestions of topics and colours when he needs it.

"The technique I have is to let the brush so the work for me."

Wayne says spending time at the studio has helped him feel more confident in his art. because the Creative Facilitators are helpful and encourage him to keep going.

Wayne has sold several pieces of art and participated in lots of our exhibitions, including a solo showcase.

Wayne says:

"I feel good and it gives me more confidence when this happens. My favourite moment was selling my Elvis Cadilac painting."

A big part of why Wayne loves DONUT Studios is the sense of community. He enjoys being surrounded by others who are being creative and he likes being part of the group.
